Mixed Level Vinyasa

“Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting, it just means we stop carrying the energy of the past into the present.” - Yung Pueblo.
I began my yoga journey in 2010, in hopes of finding a healthy way to heal from a difficult trauma #MeToo. I was instantly amazed by the healing power of yoga, and the emotional release that came on my mat. Yoga gave me the strength to reclaim my body and the courage to love myself. Through yoga, I learned to find stillness, acceptance, and most of all, forgiveness. With a background in victim advocacy, I knew that I wanted to share this powerful gift of healing with victims, survivors, and others alike. I completed my 200 hour teacher training through Corepower Yoga in 2013 and completed my Reiki II training in 2018. I aim to create a safe space where students can reconnect to their inner spirt and find freedom through physical expression. When I’m not on my mat, I enjoy reading, traveling, gardening, and spending time with my husband, two step-daughters, and my puppy, Scotch.

Jocelynn Mehrman

RYT 200 Yoga Instructor
I began practicing yoga in 2014 when I noticed I let myself slip into a very low state of being. I was experiencing a lot of anxious and depressive thoughts, which lead me to make unhealthy choices in my life. I initially sought a doctor who prescribed me to a few different medications, after about a month of being on them I realized they were taking me even farther away from myself. So I stopped taking the medication and began looking for a way to pull myself out of darkness. Starting an asana practice was the answer to that. I began by teaching myself and very quickly tapped into my energy, my higher self. I created my own meditation and yoga practice with the use of crystals and energy work. I learned how to heal myself through the movement of energy. I worked through all the imbalances in my mind, body, and spirit which allowed a whole new way of living to channel through me. In January 2016 I decided to take a 230 hr teacher training through The Yoga Center of Minneapolis. I did this with intentions to inspire others to learn more about themselves, to guide others through their imbalances and chaotic energy.
A class lead by me will include guided meditations, asana poses linked strictly with the flow of your breath, and some references to energy work. I serve as a guide to allow you to be your own healer.

Wendy Reese

E-RYT 200 Yoga Instructor, Thai Therapist, Reiki Master, Studio Director

I initially discovered and practiced yoga over 20 years ago as a form of exercise that I could do at home. I liked how it strengthened my body and immediately fell in love with the way it made me feel energetically. When the concept of yoga therapy was introduced to me,  I understood what a tremendous healing tool yoga offered and became completely immersed. I became a certified instructor in 2011 and opened a studio a few months later. I was introduced to Thai bodywork at this time and started training to become a Thai therapist as well. My desire to continue to evolve as a teacher, student, healer, and human being inspires my ongoing growth and development.
I have scoliosis and suffered from years of severe back pain, which eventually led me to appreciate the physical results of a consistent yoga practice with decreased physical limitations. I have also struggled with anxiety disorder and value the increased peace and contentment found through the calming effects of yoga.

I embrace my journey and know that it has given me balance and the knowledge that life is truly a reflection of our own energy.
It is my desire to help empower each of my clients to gain adequate physical strength to lead a healthy and active life and to provide tools that lead to mental and emotional clarity.
